Heres a little Project S.O.Y Basic summary to help you get the feel for the series:

PROJECT S.O.Y

In the city of Enderland, creatures known as "Gurmz" ravage throughout. Every common disaster you can think of is usually caused by these unusually devious critters. This is where the organization known as "S.O.Y" comes in. An elite group of military combatants that use the abilities of "MedCins" (Who attach to the users head in a symbiotic relationship.) to combat the "Gurmz". Ravell, a bland and boring kid with poor academics is assigned to S.O.Y through a file mix up. He is assigned a happy and joyful MedCin, who happens to be the complete opposite of Ravell.
